Who we're looking for



We made a conscious decision to focus on entrepreneurs and their ideas at the very earliest stage, so just an inspirational idea could be enough to participate in the comdirect Start-up Garage. During the course of the program, ideas will develop (or be developed) into a working prototype.

Entrepreneurs and/or start-ups are invited to pitch their ideas to us in the comdirect Start-up Garage. We will then evaluate the idea in respect of it’s possible impact and success within the industry. If the idea makes the grade, the entrepreneur and/or start-up will be able to benefit from our close support to turn their inspiration into reality!

Garage wins Innovation award


During the 19th EURO FINANCE WEEK on 16. November 2016, the Innovation prizes for Retail Banking have been awarded in five categories. With the award BANKENVERSICHERUNGEN.DE and FRANKFURT EURO FINANCE annually honour banks that make an outstanding contribution to Retail Banking.

Your Pitch

Our application pitch consists of three steps:

Step 1

  • Send us your pitch deck
  • You can choose whatever format you prefer - it doesn't matter if it is a slide deck or video. Be creative
  • We'd like you to describe your idea on a business or lean canvas, too

Step 2

  • After your submission, we will consider your idea and if we like it we will quickly get in contact. So, we can get to know you a little better
  • We will evaluate your idea with our experts
  • If we like your idea, we will invite you to present your idea to us personally at comdirect headquarter!

Step 3

  • On pitch day you will present your idea to a jury consisting from experts of comdirect and/or external professionals
  • You will be able to benefit from an instant feedback of our expert team and shortly after your pitch we will get in contact with you to let you know if you will be able to take part in the comdirect Start-up Garage
